2024 RIN Online Workshop Series

In the global economy after COVID-19, ASEAN and East Asian countries are seeking new development as “center of growth”.
The 2024 RIN Online Workshop Series provided a forum for full-fledged discussions on strategies for the ideal future stage of development of ASEAN and East Asian countries in the context of the US-China confrontation, escalating international conflicts, the global trend toward decarbonization, and the development of AI and digitalization.

To expand current knowledge and stimulate interactive discussions between RIN member institutes and ERIA, 12 speakers from 7 institutes and ERIA shared their findings and views from their current research at the workshops.
The topics of discussion included AI Technology, Innovation, Trade policy, Resilient semiconductor supply chain, Energy transition, Business environment, Creative economy, Health seeking behavior, and Migration streams.

ASEAN and East Asian countries must continually address these policy issues.
How can governments adjust their policies toward the ideal future stage of development? What are the challenges and solutions?
In the 2024 RIN Online Workshop Series “Strategies for the Ideal Future Stage of Development in East Asia”, we discussed on these questions.
